The wrecking ball swung again toward the crumbling Obamacare edifice yesterday. Ironically, it continues to be the Obama administration that is operating the heavy machinery.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced, in the form of a letter to Democratic senators, that Obamacare’s individual mandate tax will be waived in 2014 for persons who had their policies canceled in 2013 due to Obamacare.
At this point, after months of on-the-fly pronouncements, delays, and exemptions (often announced, not coincidentally, in the days just before a major national holiday), perhaps nothing should surprise us anymore about Obamacare’s disastrous rollout. But yesterday’s announcement is still startling because of what it says about the state of the president’s signature domestic legislation. The law is falling apart before our eyes.
Ok..lets get this straight (since each day, it seems there is something new).
Those with canceled policies, dont have to pay their 95 dollars to the govt for not having insurance. Right? I am sure they are very happy...but, um...what happens if they get sick? They drop dead? People want insurance, they dont care about 95 bucks.
A few days ago, I was reading that people can now buy junk policies..ya know those catastophic policies. However..good luck with that. Insurance companies were protesting.
And what are they going to do next year, when hundreds of thousands may lose their employee provided policies..or their part of the premiums go up so high, they will be going home with only half of their pay. Oh..you didnt think the employer is going to cover and increases, did you?
If this thing falls apart..which it most likely will...how do we get back to normal. And will normal be as we knew it?
All will have to suffer the pain until elections in November, and then anyone with two brain cells to rub together needs to vote out every single Rat and demand that the Pubs left standing repeal Obamacare. It's the only way to drive a stake through the heart of this abomination.
At some point the dummies will have to realize elections have consequences. Until they personally feel it, they won't get it.
Unfortunately for the rest of us who DID get it, we have to suffer right along with them.
“When the government fears the people there is liberty; When the people fear the government there is tyranny."
Yeah..but..the jackass in chief will still be there. He will just veto it.
I think the best thing that can happen is not enough people buy it..but..the jackass will just bail out the insurance companies.
Honestly, someone has to find a way to impeach him..or something. The more I read about this obamacare..the worse it seems. I just read somewhere, that if you buy it and leave your state or go on vacation and get sick or have an accident, they wont pay for it.
I had already read that some very good hospitals wont take it. My question on that is then what happens to those hospitals? They close? They are cash only? How will the stay in business..since we are all supposed to have this.
