A meeting scheduled for Thursday at the White House with Joe Biden will feature the NRA as well as the National Sports Shooting Foundation, but the Second Amendment Foundation, which was formed to guard gun owners’ legal rights, was not invited, even though they asked to come.
In their attempt to pretend they are listening to all sides, the White House had Biden meet with gun control groups and families of victims of gun violence on Wednesday while scheduling a meeting with video game developers for Friday, but Biden made it clear that Obama is going to act unilaterally in the end:
I want it clear to the American public that on behalf of the president, we're reaching out to all parties on whatever side of this debate you fall. But the president is going to act. There are executive orders, executive action that can be taken.
