Truly unreal. What a thing to say. How did this man make it to the top of a major city PD. He is a complete puppet. I cringe when he makes such bizarre comments. My non-cop pals think he is very weird. He now has us shooting law abiding people who just happen to be turning towards the police wiith a gun in their hand? Then says this will assuredly happen. He goes on radio and says " no overtime for CAPS meetings"? And, " Why are we paying cops overtime to do their job?" What the hell does that even mean? When was the last year there was overtime for that? Plus, no one wanted to attend those meetings on their days off or after their tour ended. 3 hours on the books to disrupt our lives while being forced to listen to citizens bitch and moan wasn't good overtime. It was painful. Then he and Rahm come up with a bizarre new buzz phrase " force multiplier" referring to community police changes. This is sick. We get zero respect from the mayor or McCarthy. Sad.

This wouldn't be laughable if my spouse weren't a CPD officer, or got more training than just annual qualification. But of course, McCarthy is banking on the average citizen not knowing that, and believing everything he/she hears.

It also wouldn't be laughable if it weren't so bumbling and bastardly ignorant of him to say shit like "Yeah, well, sometimes we shoot people holding cell phones or flashlights, tough tit..."
