This is astounding. ZD30 is the film made by Obama supporter Kathryn Bigelow outlining the events that led to the death of Osama bin Laden. When the film was first announced I, like many others, just assumed it would be as this commentator says, a semi-hagiographic treatment of the bold president ordering the raid in Abbottabad that killed Osama bin Laden. Remember this particular work was supposed to be released 2 weeks before the election which gave rise to even greater suspicions it would be little more than a paean of praise to The One and his role in bin Laden's elimination.
But, wonder of wonders, it isn't! According to Thomas Lifson at the "American Thinker", After seeing it, I can report that it is a clear vindication for the Bush administration's view of the War on Terror. Moreover, "ZD30" subtly presents President Obama and by extension the entire Democratic establishment and its supporters in the media as hindering the effort to find bin Laden by politicizing harsh interrogation techniques and striking a pose against them that was naive at best.
After discussing the amazing content of the film Lifson goes on to discuss the reaction of the critics to such a movie. It's amusing to observe liberal film critics getting discombobulated as they try to reconcile the film's evident strengths, and its message, with their own discomfort with an America-first narrative and their belief that such stories are for cretins.
