Peterson had faced as much as 60 years, but Judge Edward Burmila said he gave Peterson some consideration for his years as a police officer and his service in the military. Peterson is 59.

Olivia, I just heard it on the news.

The judge is full of crap. If you get a more severe punishment for killing a cop, a cop should get more severe a punishment for being a killer not less...grrrr
