Quote: Rufus T Firefly wrote in post #15 Well . . . . I have to answer that in two ways (I alluded to one in an earlier post by writing "I've read the back of The Book and the good guys win). Of course I'm referring to the hope we (if we're Christians) have - the Ultimate Hope.
Unfortunately, not all of us are . . .
To others, there is this: No evil regime in history - now matter how permanent it seemed at the time - ever was. As bad as the Third Reich was, it lasted but 13 years. The USSR lasted only 70.
They ALWAYS fail - sometimes from without; more often from within. The USA - when it becomes the USSA - will fail, also.
Corruption breeds corruption. Whether it be Obama or some future tyrant, once his real or perceived enemies (tea partiers, Constitutionalists, Patriots, etc.) have been vanquished, he and his cabal will turn on each other.
And eat each other alive.
I've read the back of The Book as well, and believe in the guarantees (and the Ultimate Hope) for life after this Earth. I don't know of any guarantees about how life ends up on this Earth.
I get what you mean about the regimes and their collective history. I suspect those chapters will be written long after I'm gone. Not 100% sure, but fairly certain.
Thanks for your explanation, I didn't know what you were alluding to!
