Its the DNC's wllingness to violate the law by using the federal government to suppress voter participation based on race and religion , that won the election.

Any republican in favor of this bill is no conservative and acting solely in self intrest.
While it is true the the majority of hispanics vote democrat, and hispanics tend to be lower income and education than native whites, other immigrant ethnic groups that tend to have higher income and educations than hispanics also vote majority democrat, e.g. Indians and Chinese.
What has happened over time is that once most immigrants of all ethnic backgrounds came here to take advantage of our meritocracy. They got the concepts of small government and low taxes. Now the majority of immigrants come here because our big socialist government gives out better bennies than their big governments. Illegals, new immigrants, and guest workers cost US taxpayers NET hundreds of billions per year.
