An official at Sonoma State University ordered a student working at a freshman orientation fair to remove or hide a cross necklace on two separate occasions. The unnamed official feared that other students could be offended by the two-inch-long symbol of Christianity.

There certainly is an offense there. ...that is good for us to remember.

Can authorities here in the US mandate this supression of religious expression? I hope not.
I'm pretty sure the law's intent was to prevent burka wearing etc., and the Christians are getting caught in the blowback.

The Cross, the symbol of his victory over death, darkness and the grave.

The bureaucracy: the new fourth branch of government. The bureaucracy is permanent, unaccountable, unelected and choking us like a weed. The bureaucrat exists, generating nothing of value, using perceived problems to justify his existence.
