Just when you thought things have died down a bit in the wake of the recent Anthony Weiner nuttiness. Granted, she’s not a major party candidate, but sheesh, is there anyone in New York City running for office that doesn’t have any baggage?

Notorious former “Manhattan Madam” and aspiring pol Kristin Davis may not be pimping out prostitutes anymore — but she’s been pushing pills, the feds say.

Davis, who’s currently mounting a campaign for city comptroller in a race that includes alleged ex-client Eliot Spitzer, is due in court later today on charges she sold hundreds of prescription pills to an FBI snitch between January and April of this year.

A Manhattan federal court complaint says the drugs included the narcotic oxycodone, amphetamine or “speed,” and alprazolam, the active ingredient in the anti-anxiety medicine Xanax.

Lovely.

In addition, Davis also trafficked in zolpidem, the active ingredient in Ambien sleeping pills, and carisprodol, a muscle relaxant that’s often used in conjunction with “date rape” drugs, according to the feds.

There is nothing wrong with her that a good long stay in a secure facility won't fix. Say,20 years or so.
