Boehner asks why Obama will negotiate with Putin, but not Republicans

The Speaker contrasts the White House's policy on Syria with its stance on debt-limit negotiations.

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) released a Web video on Thursday seeking to contrast the White House’s willingness to work with the Russians to find a diplomatic solution in Syria against President Obama’s declaration that he won’t negotiate with Republicans over the debt limit.

“The Obama administration on working with Congress to address the debt and deficit,” the ad says, before cutting to a montage of Obama and senior members of his staff saying they will not negotiate over the country’s debt ceiling.

“The Obama administration on working with Putin on Syria,” the ad continues, before cutting to pictures of Obama looking chummy with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Why is the Obama administration willing to negotiate with Putin on Syria ... But not with Congress to address Washington's spending problem?,” text from the ad asks.

Last week, the U.S. and Russia brokered a deal in which Syria would give up its chemical weapons. The diplomatic solution temporarily lifted the threat of a U.S. military strike against the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

House Republicans leaders on Wednesday said they were working on legislation to raise the debt ceiling, but that it would include a one-year delay in the implementation of the president’s healthcare law.

The White House says it will not negotiate over the country’s borrowing limit, and will not consider a debt limit package that seeks to delay or defund ObamcaCare.

If Drunk Johnny would call out the Regime on a regular basis like this, he would be the defacto head of the party and a true leader of an opposition party. Maybe he can turn things around if he keeps it up.....but I doubt it.

Statists and Leftists are nothing if not patient. They will wait years and years to accomplish their ends. They NEVER give up or admit defeat.

You do know - don't you? - that National Health Care was first proposed during FDRs "New Deal"? I can just see him now - the Cedric of that day - declaring in 1937 "Whew, FDR didn't get his socialized medicine. I'm glad we dodged THAT bullet."

So fast forward to today and the subject of amnesty:

The WH wants amnesty. The demoncrats want amnesty. The establishment republicans want amnesty. The media (INCLUDING most at Fox News) wants amnesty. To think that it will just "go away" is the height of political naivete.
