Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, said conservative Republican attempts to defund Obamacare will prove fruitless.
“In the United States Senate, we will not repeal or defund Obamacare. We will not. And to think we can is not rational,” McCain said Thursday on “The Lead with Jake Tapper.”
Republicans Sen. Ted Cruz suggested he might filibuster if defunding Obamacare is not tied to funding the government. But McCain said the party does not have 67 Republican votes in the Senate which would be required to override a presidential veto.
“To somehow think we are going to defund it is simply not going to happen at this time, and it will, in my opinion, as it did before, harm the American people’s view of the Republican party,” said McCain.

America needs more Republicans!
You couldn't be more right. Last time the GOP ran the tables, they did an awesome job protecting liberty and the country. No Child Left Behind, the Patriot Act, Chief Justice John Roberts, Medicare Part D. All real and permanent change.
I can't wait till they get control of things again. Great stewards of the country they are.
