Hey. I thought that the most unpopular people in DC were the people threatening a govt' shutdown....wait, they are. LOL.....
ZitatA new Gallup poll has found that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has the lowest net approval rating among those in the House and Senate leadership.
The Gallup poll found that "Reid's approval rating is 33 percent with 53 percent disapproving of his job performance, leaving him with a net rating of negative 20 percent."
House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has a "net approval rating of negative 17 percent," and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) have net approval ratings of negative 12 percent. Reid's low approval rating comes days before he will try to amend the continuing resolution the House passed last week that would fund the government except for the Affordable Care Act.
Reid has vowed to use a 51-vote threshold to add an amendment that would fund Obamacare and send the bill back to the House. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and other conservatives like Mike Lee (R-UT) have said Republicans need to unite to oppose a cloture vote on moving the bill forward so Reid is unable to insert funding for Obamacare.
On Fox News Sunday, Cruz said that a vote for cloture vote would be a vote for Obamacare
Gallup conducted the survey on September 5-8 and the poll as a margin of error of +/- four percentage points.
