No notification of Ping other than seeing it in the Activity Feed at the top of the Forum. (I.e., no flashing dots up by the username, no email notification of PM, no white box above indicating a new PM in open tabs). When I refreshed the PM page, the PM of your ping notice was present.

LOL! Now I just got the flashing dots up by the username. NB, I was already logged in and had a PM tab open at the time you sent the Ping, that may factor in on what I observed.
