Update: MSNBC says a U.S. Capitol police officer has been shot. I’m seeing rumors on Twitter that it’s related to a car chase but no confirmation.

Yeah..I read that too...female....dead....and they were taking a baby out of the car. Not sure that I believe everything I read when something first happens. Half the time when they dont know, they make up something.

Everybody relax! The woman didn't have a gun,and the only shots fired were the police shooting at her.

Well,maybe if you were one of the hundreds of people with dozens of panicky police pointing machineguns at you,you are justified to remain panicked for a couple more hours. Police with machineguns is enough to scare anybody.

Although to judge from the photo posted above,the choice of cover the one spread-eagle between the two columns shows they are well-trained. (extreme sarcasm)

Looks like the crazy lady in DC was one Miriam Carey...
