Drudge is seeing the same thing many of us are seeing too. The issues are clear and the solutions are obvious yet all we get from the DC GOP are spin and inaction. No principles or courage....

�Why would anyone vote Republican?� Drudge tweeted. �Please give reason. Raised taxes; marching us off to war again; approved more NSA snooping. WHO ARE THEY?!�

The tweet came after another that was also critical of the GOP. �It�s now Authoritarian vs. Libertarian,� Drudge wrote. �Since Democrats vs. Republicans has been obliterated, no real difference between parties.�

It�s unclear what specific policies Drudge was referring to in his critique. Republicans did, however, vote to avert the so-called �fiscal cliff� in January, a vote that included an increase in taxes on upper-income earners. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) also said Tuesday he supports President Obama�s position on a limited military intervention in Syria. And scores of Republicans, such as New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, came out in support of government spying techniques meant to thwart terrorism.

They're not democrats.

I will never vote democrat and I don't think sitting out or voting a guarantee loser, third party, is an answer

It isn't. My own House rep is a pro death GOP'er. There are a bunch of them in the Senate and House.

They have done nothing to stop it and Romney was on record saying he didn't want to totally eliminate it. He just wanted to tinker with it. There is no tangible evidence that GOP is serious about stopping Zerocare. Talk is cheap.

I'll sit that one out, but it bothers me to do so and I won't be making a habit of it I will be a first for me.

I did mean it in jest.

The more the GOP marches in lock step with the DNC the more evident it becomes that there is little to no opposition in the party against Obama.

In our system of government there are supposed to be checks and balances against the three branches. They don't operate as they should anymore.

We're in dangerous times.

Remember Reagan's 80-20 rule and focus, on the 80%, not the 20%, or you're gonna be even more miserable.

When long time Republican activists and walk through broken glass voters are beginning to sit it out, there is a serious problem. The GOP used to be against the entrenched DC establishment. Now they are defending it.

First off, you are the one telling me that these were the 4 issues that the GOP stands for. They don't anymore. Secondly, when Reagan was in charge, the party had principles and stood by them. Rockefeller Repub losers like Bob Michel and Howard Baker were made irrelevant by Reagan's solid principles. The party was the strongest it had ever been back then because people knew what we stood for and knew we believed it. We stand for nothing now. Even you just had to spin your for GOP "principles" after poked holes in them.

During Reagan's time in office amnesty was passed and the Brady Bill became law.

Since 1973 Republicans have been making sympathetic noises about Roe vs. Wade while talking of removing it via the USSC. It hasn't happened. And it won't. The GOP has less moral courage today than the day Roe vs. Wade was decided. I don't see a time when our nation can return to the innocence of the Reagan era when moral authority meant something.

And Obamacare is the law of the land. I don't see a groundswell of support on the Hill from the GOP to remove it. They conceded ground from the very beginning when they said they would be satisfied with revising or replacing it instead of standing on the lone principle of repealing it.

And then Romney ran for president while vowing to tweak Obamacare.

The GOP is a toothless tiger.

So, here we see Frank waxing unrealistically nostalgic about the Reagan era and Palinista saying even Reagan sucked.

Pretty much explains everything.

I agree with Justme. The only thing the GOP HAD going for it was that they're not Rats...But that is changing by the day.

I'd have to hold every bodily orifice to vote for Fatso in 2016.

I did not say Reagan sucked. Don't put words in my mouth.

Reagan was not a perfect human being. Reagan was not omniscient. He could not control everything. He did many, many good things.

Your right about that. He had statists like Howard Baker blocking him in the Senate when he tried to shut down the Dept of Education.
