It's true. Like it or not the appeasement crowd running the Republican party has suffered blow after blow because the team of Pelosi and Reid fight real dirty and do not acquiesce just to get along.

Look at the confirmation battles for judges. The Republicans vote for the Democrat president's nominees but do the Dems do the same? Absolutely Not!!!

How'd it work for Bush and Alberto Gonzales? Wouldn't he have been the first Hispanic to reach that office? And now they tout Sotomayer as the first Hispanic and all that garbage. Having the first Hispanic was of no concern when Gonzales was nominated. Funny how this works isn't it?

Playing clean with this caliber of opponent gets one ripped to shreds. It's like trying to play with a mean cat. it doesn't end well "my friends".

Anyone else feel like shrieking when they hear "my friends" come out of that old crank's mouth ???

I think you're under the impression that whatever was done by GOP leaders in the past was infinitely ineffective.

I think you further believe that had anything been done differently, it would certainly have brought infinitely greater success.

I, conversely, think there is an extant, finite, possibility that things done differently might actually have rendered worse results.

I also think retrospective carping from the sidelines damages those who engage in it much more than their targets.

I think this is more proof, though none is needed, that I'm a deep thinker.
