Thought this would be of interest to any folks out there planning on purchasing a new Chevy anytime soon. I would stay away from the 396 2 barrel. It's a loser....

wow, automobiles have come a long way baby. I thought the tire was going to pop off the rim on that one corner. I clicked on the Dodge Charger 500 for kicks and watched that one too. Only 7 mpg? Amazing advances in 40 years.

I can't believe they got that tire to roll over that far without blowing it off the rim. I never had that type of performance from any bias ply tire I ever ran, even Polyglas Goodyears.
The interesting thing too is that Impala was doing 8 second 0-60's with a 2 barrel carb. I think the '13 Impala does the same time 0-60 and it is 1/2 the size and weight. That is sad.
