Americans are familiar with the "Cornhusker Kickback" that U.S. Senator Ben Nelson (D-NE) got in exchange for his vote on Obamacare.
Well now U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has an Obamacare earmark of his own.
The McConnell-Reid bill not only funds Obamacare and suspends the debt limit, it ALSO includes a provision in Section 123 that increases the authorization for the Olmsted Lock in Kentucky from $775 million to nearly $3 billion.
It's the Kentucky Kickback.
In exchange for funding Obamacare and raising the debt limit, Mitch McConnell has secured a $2 billion earmark.
This is an insult to all the Kentucky families who don't want to pay for Obamacare and don't want to shoulder any more debt.
McConnell may try to blame someone else for this, but he wrote the bill and it's not the first time he has sought funds for this project. He also requested $100 million for it in 2010.
This is what's wrong with Washington and it's what's wrong with Mitch McConnell.

.........the nation’s leading Republican senator came out of the deal far from empty handed. That’s because it’s been reported that Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell secured language in the new government funding bill that includes nearly $3 billion for a dam project in his home state of Kentucky.
According to reports, a provision in the funding bill includes $2.918 billion in funding to the Army Corps of Engineers to install locks as part of the Olmsted Dam and Lock Authority Project on the Ohio River.
A recent investigation by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch found that the project has run millions of dollars over budget and should have been completed “years ago.” The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers estimates that the project will not be fully complete until 2024.
I thought Mitch the Magnificent McConnell would have held out for a higher dollar amount. I thought he was a higher class prostitute than that.

Both of them showed up? Were they allowed inside to vote?

The Locks and Dam 52 and 53 Replacement Project, known as the Olmsted Locks and Dam, is under construction between Illinois and Kentucky about 17 miles upstream from the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi rivers. The locks are complete and work on the dam continues. Olmsted will replace locks and dams 53 and 52 and greatly reduce tow and barge delays through the busiest stretch of river in America's inland waterways.
I may be raped on my insurance premiums and get lousy healthcare, but I will at least stop losing sleep over barge delays. Kudos Mitch the Magnificent for looking out for America.

Not only do "we" lose the final battle, out of the wreckage of our loss comes this news of a quid pro quo from "our" leader?
So, we ALL weren't losers, were we Mitch?
The bureaucracy: the new fourth branch of government. The bureaucracy is permanent, unaccountable, unelected and choking us like a weed. The bureaucrat exists, generating nothing of value, using perceived problems to justify his existence.
Hey folks, we're all looking at this wrong. Cheer up - pull up a chair - and watch the drama unfold before our very eyes. We live in interesting times, indeed.
Party! Party! Party like it's AD 99!!!

Naw,Mighty Mitch was like any other whore after midnight. There are fewer customers to sell your goods to as the time left decreases,so he got what he could get,and dropped to his knees.

Yeah, and now that he has 3 Billion in federal cash to spread around,it's guaranteed he's not going to have a primary opponent.
