Quote: Eglman wrote in post #13From a commenter on Lucianne that sums it up nicely
Those who consider themselves part of the Tea Party do not want to win for the sake of winning, their only interest in winning is to save the country from policies that they believe have it on the road to destruction. When your choice is between fighting a policy that you believe will destroy the country and losing and going along with a policy that will destroy the country in order to win, they prefer to lose. They would rather lose the fight to save the country than act as enablers to its destruction.
Everyone can say that...and I applaude the idea
But it can also be translated into working hard, not smart.
How smart is it to appeal as a moderate when the ones who you are trying to attract that way will not vote for anybody with an R after their name? In case you did not notice Americans are mostly still conservative. Take a look around. The Rinos draw crowds of angry people not supporters - while people like Palin, Cruz, West etc draw massive crowds. You do not need to be Einstein to see that the old Rino game of lesser of 2 evils will no longer work - the only chance to win with real votes is to be conservative and not give us lip service to get elected then drop to the knees for the dems once elected. This attacking the Tea Party is whats going to coast the GOP not the Tea Party who 42% of voters per Rasmussen agree with their positions.
The down side to declaring people mentally ill to justify confiscating their firearms is that if they win the fire fights they already have the insanity defense ...

You're right but we keep losing. I just understand there is more than one way to skin a cat.

Psychotic martyr-complex.
That sums it up nicely.
No,what is summed up nicely is that people like you love supporting and being losers.
Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)
