Apparently the author is having a hissy because the NRSC is allocating its own funds as it sees fit.
Then, in a moment of rare Fringeball honesty, he admits that he'd rather see McConnell lose his primary than Democrat Mary Landrieu lose in the general election.

Right. Another case of who is the real enemy here? The GOP or the Democrats?
When you think about it, if you are a long-time fan of your hometown NFL or NBA or MLB team, and the players change year after year, ….. What exactly are you rooting for?
You are rooting for the team laundry the players are wearing. You are rooting for the name. You are rooting for your hometown. No matter what other city you go to, for decade after decade, you are loyal to that hometown laundry and name.
What about an NFL or NBA or MLB owner or coach or player, ….. What exactly are they rooting for?
They are rooting for themselves. Period.
An owner will stab your city in the back and leave you with nothing but memories for a better stadium in another city. The coach or player will leave your team for a fatter paycheck or for a city with brighter media lights such as New York or Los Angeles.
Is that all there is in major league sports? Laundry, hometown pride, money and egos?
Yes. It’s only a game with no higher purpose.
In politics, some people are actually trying to accomplish a national goal and others treat politics as NFL football or NBA basketball.
In politics, some people root for or jeer at the team laundry and name which, when you think about it, is rather silly. How many Republicans were in Lee's Army of Northern Virginia? From 1861 to 1865, the South spilled rivers of blood fighting the Republicans from up North and now you have the South lecturing the Northern Republicans that they are “RINO’s”. Do the present-day “real” Republicans of the South actually expect everybody north of Richmond to be exactly like them?
Then, in politics, you have the individuals that are in it for themselves and for their own power and their own influence and their own ego. Such people are not interested in accomplishing any national goal. They are the divas who want the TV cameras on themselves to demonstrate how important they are. They want to see their personal rival defeated in the primary, even if the other party is then guaranteed the general election, because what actually matters to them is their own ego. If a tactic like the Government Shutdown fails, those people are emotionally invested in the failed tactic because it was THEIR tactic and they have braggin’ rights and egos to protect. There is only one single way to skin a cat and it is THEIR way. So, like Obama, enough excuses and rationalizations will flow out of them to fill up “de Nile”.
In politics, who is your enemy and who is your friend?
Nobody. As Harry Truman said, “If you want a friend in Washington, get yourself a dog”.
As Lord Palmerston said, “It is a narrow policy to suppose that this country or that is to be marked out as the eternal ally or the perpetual enemy of England. We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow."
What should be our higher interest? Saving the economy from Obama’s incompetent control and getting Government out of our health insurance choices or pitching a fit in Texas if Adam and Steve get “married” in New York City?
In politics, if you are the type that is in it to actually accomplish a goal and not just feed your own ego, you need to round up enough people to agree with you on that particular goal, no matter what “laundry” they are wearing. The gay tree-hugger that might never agree with you about the oil pipeline and sexual partners could agree with you 100% that ObamaCare is a fiasco because his premiums just doubled.
Once specific national goals becomes far less important than the Purity and you then insist that everybody be required to wear your exact same clothes, eat your favorite food, listen to your favorite singer, cheer your favorite NFL team and agree with you about who is the prettiest cheerleader on the sidelines or else be rejected and insulted, ……. you will find yourself teamed up with only your twin brother and up against the rest of the entire neighborhood.
Defeat is then absolutely guaranteed …… Unless you are just in the game for attention and braggin’ rights. Then, it is a huge win for your ego. “Yep. We took on the whole neighborhood. Me and my twin brother. We lost, of course, but you shoulda seen us! Who else in this bar has the guts to take on such odds? Anybody? I didn’t think so. My twin brother and I! We’re really something! We’re doing it again next weekend.”

For some of us, this is another case of what's the difference between the GOP and the Rats anymore. This Soviet style freeze out of this ad agency is the same crap the Rats pull on a regular basis. Since when does the GOP get involved in this despicable crap, especially in a Primary?

The GOP is a private organization, not a governmental entity.
Thus, it can do as it sees fit with its own, private funds.
