He is a Conservative like Special-Ced is a Conservative
Via Weekly Standard:
New Jersey governor Chris Christie, a Republican, is on his way to winning big in his bid for reelection Tuesday, and there’s already talk he may be on his way to running for president in three years.Speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper, Christie argued he’s not a moderate as he’s sometimes portrayed.
“I’m a conservative,” Christie told Tapper. “I’ve governed as a conservative in this state, and I think that’s led to some people disagreeing with me in our state, because it’s generally a left-of-center, blue state.”
If the GOPe runs this pig for POTUS, which they are all now giddy about doing, I will not vote for him. It will be the first time since the 80's I don't vote for the GOP candidate.

I don't think they will. He handed a Seanate seat to booker for one...he should be toast. NJ is a liberal cess pool

You're kidding right? Everywhere I go across the dial all the usual GOPe suspects are slamming Ken for losing VA, even though he is doing better than McCain or Romney did, and they are pimping fatso as the model on how to win blue states, i.e.; Presidential campaign strategy.
Quote: Cedric wrote in post #6A very impressive win by Governor Christie, nonetheless.
How do you figure. He ran as a Corzine clone. Raised taxes. Intentionally folded on gay marriage. Talked up open borders. Passed out Sandy taxpayer money inefficiently.
Can you show me where he did anything that is a tenant of Republicanism?
Unlike you guys I don't get all excited or pissy based on what big mouth talking heads say. We knew Ken would do better than projected even though a bunch of whiney backseat quarterbacks laid the blame for his loss at the GOP feet. And it was no secret the liberals and conservative lite here in NJ would gush over fatso with the busy body paid opinions not about to call the voters a bunch of idiots.
I don't think the conservative voters will pick the fat fool in the primaries. I just don't.

Not if he wants to win.
Assuming Christie would deliver NJ and make the Democrats spend money to defend the Northeast, it would be a winning ticket!

All right. Good point. But if Cruz sells out with a Christie, that makes two elections I sit out

For those who liken Cruz to Reagan, I'll note that the Gipper chose a NE moderate as his running mate.

It's all about winning the election.
I understand but no matter how much lipstick you put on that pig, Christie is no moderate, he is liberal. He cost us the last election as much as the sit out "votes"
To pick him would mean winning has nothing to to with conservative values. Much like picking Biden meant the brainless vote.
