Washington (CNN) -- Quick, can you hear it? That creaking sound from Washington is the nerves of congressional Democrats in response to the political firestorm raging around Obamacare.
The botched rollout of the Affordable Care Act's vital new marketplaces, coupled with insurers notifying more than a million Americans that their policies were being canceled, raised questions about the administration competence and honesty in selling and implementing President Barack Obama's signature health care reforms.
ZitatThe law itself The bigger fear for Democrats is that public sentiment will side with Republicans who have warned for four years that Obamacare amounted to big government run amok, resulting in an unmanageable new bureaucracy.
There are 14 dems up for primary that this hits very close o home
All of this "agita" for them, could have been so easily avoided. It still amazes me that these are supposed to be smart people. These smart people thought, they could lock republicans out, make deals behind closed doors, and vote on this law in the dark of night on xmas eve....when they KNEW most of the american people were against it. And if they didnt know..then they werent paying attention, because we made no secret of it.
How could they even entertain the idea, of providing the kind of healthcare plan, that would require old men and young guys, pay for maternity, birthcontrol and other things used by young women? How could they think the poor could afford plans, to include all types of medical care that isnt included today on some policies (which people ARE aware of..since they BOUGHT them without being forced). How could they think the middle class, who is now just getting by, would go for triple priced plans with high deductables...not to mention an eventual tax raise to pay for these subsidies they seem to be handing out. What do they think people have money trees in their yards?
You cant force people to BUY something..if they dont have the money to pay for it or dont care to spend their money on this particular thing. What is it about this they dont get???
If everyday common people could look into that and come to this conclusion over 4 years ago...how come this group couldnt?
And there IS no fix for this. You think these insurance companies are going to take back those letters and alter these policies once more? For only a year? And the people only want their old plan..for only a year?
This group is getting what they deserve...wait..they actually deserve much more than to not be elected again. No matter how they try to fix this thing..it wont work...and will come back to bite them on the ass again next year.
They need to crush this thing..and leave us the hell alone.

Well, for one thing, most of American does not follow political details very closely. The media decides what the Media Circus of the Month is going to be. This month, for example, the media decided that my Miami Dolphins were going to be part of the Media Circus of the Month.
Back when the financial wisdom of the cost of subsidizing the sex life of every fertile woman in America should have been discussed, remember what the Media Circus was all about?
That Rush Limbaugh was making slut jokes about Sandra Fluke. Slut! War on Women! Slut! War on Women!
Anybody that tried to discuss the economic wisdom of subsidizing recreational sex of every fertile woman in America with limited health care dollars was drowned out by the Rush versus Fluke Circus.
That brings up the point that people like Rush Limbaugh make a lot of money by creating Circuses. Like professional wrestlers, they are entertainers that care more about fake drama than they do about who wins or loses. Such individuals should not be seen as true political leaders. Leadership often requires that attention be paid to boring economic realities instead of Sandra Fluke's sex life. However, boring economics does not boost ratings. Sex jokes do.
