Update: 12:25: Reid and the Democrats voted to trigger the ‘nuclear option.’ The Democratically-controlled Senate moved on Thursday to strike down the long-standing filibuster rules for most presidential nominations, and appeared poised to do so on a party-line vote that would alter nearly 225 years of precedent.
Filibusters are now eliminated for most presidential nominations.
One day, the chickens will come home to roost. If Republicans come into the majority at some point, the Democrats will suffer the results of their own folly.
We live in a dictatorship with a one-party system.
