First of all,the JFK PR machine was in full roar at the time,and everybody still believed the drug-addicted incompetent SOB was a war hero.

Secondly,by today's standards,he WAS a conservative because he believed in lowering taxes and did so. IIRC,the top income take rate took almost 90 percent of your income when he came into office,and he lowered that by a considerable amount. Not as much as Reagan,but a bunch. I remember earning $2.75 a hour back in 1970 and turning down overtime because if I worked 10 hours or more of overtime in any given week it put me in a higher tax bracket and I would end up taking home less money at the end of the week.

Finally,it was BOBBY Kennedy that all sane people are glad was killed. There should be statues of Sirhan Sirhan raised in every public park in the country for the public service he performed.

Bobby,DESPITE being the lead counsel for Joe McCarthy,took a hard left turn to keep the Kennedy Klan in power,and we would have been like Russia if that weasel had been elected.
