We were once told that “the personal is political.” Today, our problem is the reverse: The political has become deeply personal—and it is tearing us apart.
How else can a rational person take the destruction of our country and our culture if not personally?
This ain't an abstract theory we are discussing,it is the planned destruction of our way of life.

You're right of course.
Even though it wasn't the intent of the op it made me think of the Republicans tearing eachother apart. For many it's my way or the highway. That's no way to beat down the united liberal front.

Truthfully,I no longer care anymore about what the Republicans do than I care about what the Dims do. Neither represent my viewpoints except by accident or when they are desperate enough for votes they are willing to lie and pretend to be conservative,so from MY POV the very best thing either can do is turn on themselves and self-destruct.
The problem is we no longer have a viable political party in this country that reflects the Libertarian Conservative views of the Founding Fathers. What we are left with is two special interest groups competing for the position of Top Buzzard as they pick over the remains.
