We knew it was just a matter of time before Huckabee’s radio show would come to an end. Heck, he was trying to compete against Rush Limbaugh of all people and his show was billed as one that would “focus on civil discourse” – as if to say Rush wasn’t civil enough or something. Rush is the most civil person on radio.
So it’s definitely no shock to us that Huckabee couldn’t sustain the ratings needed to compete with the greatest voice in radio of my lifetime. And make no mistake, this is about ratings.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
"If people can’t trust not only the executive branch but also don’t trust Congress, and don’t trust federal judges, to make sure that we’re abiding by the Constitution with due process and rule of law, then we’re going to have some problems here." - Barack Obama, June 7, 2013
I caught Huckabee's weekly program on FOX a few times. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and listening to. I couldn't imagine who would listen to him.
I think his audience tends to be those blue haired women that are decked out in the funny hats at the Republican national convention.
