At about the 8:57 mark. I think it's just mean spirited and juvenile to pick on the guy for being emotional. And then half the conservative side wonders why he doesn't kiss up to them more.

I think he was choking-up at the notion that he rose from such humble beginnings (sweeping floors in his father's tavern) to be second in succession to the Presidency.
We all once reveled in the knowledge that such things could happen in America.
