Ten years after the capture of Saddam Hussein, Iraq is at risk of becoming a failed state again as al-Qaeda reclaims vast swathes of the country.
Friday’s anniversary of the Iraqi dictator’s arrest sees the country still struggling with his legacy, with al-Qaeda launching a fresh campaign of terrorist atrocities from new territory carved out in western and northern Iraq.

Backed by jihadists fighting the civil war in neighbouring Syria, the group is trying to create an “emirate” straddling the two countries, taking advantage of the collapse in security across the border.

Of course it is..because they are all animals.

We should have left them alone...saved lives of our military, saved money, etc. Nothing is going to fix those people....ever.

We didn't go into Iraq to fix them, we went in to punish them.

Well...for whatever reason...we didnt belong there. Ya know, its funny...at the height of that war, all I could think of was..if Gore won, a whole lot of mothers would have still had their kids. And thats all I care about...the kids..and they are all just kids.

So..the entire country of Iraq were terrorists? Wow..I didnt know that. (eyeroll). Iraq did not take down those buildings..those people werent even from there. Why didnt they go after the country those men lived in? Oh..something about oil or something? Nobody was going to get incinerated here...ya think bush stopped that? All that war got us was dead soldiers and wasted money. Same for Afghanistan...wasted men and money. Nobody can fix those places unless they want to nuke the middle east to parking lot status.

Oh..I knew GWB had a vendetta against Saddam because of his father. But, he should have figured out another way to get him. Nothing to me, is worth the lives of the kids we lost in those unholy places.

Boom.........parking lot status.......thats all that will ever work there. Those people are still living in biblical times. Nothing will ever change there...unless we create more parking lots and eventually build a few walmarts there.

Well, whats your answer? Sending kids there over and over again to die? For what? What exactly does this country get out of all of this?
