Lt. Col. Ralph Peters, like many of us, aren’t surprised by the new revelations in Former Defense Secretary Bob Gates’ new book. But he does find some of them troubling, especially the revelation that Obama never believed in the war in Afghanistan and yet he still allowed our troops to die and get maimed on the battlefield. Peters says that is as low as any president in our history has ever gone.

You all know that I cant stand Obama...however, what exactly did they want him to do? He didnt start the war. Was he supposed to yank them all out the first day?

I was never for either one of those wars. Those people are animals, nobody is going to change that and have them be civilized like the country they were all taught to hate. We shouldnt have been there..period.

In reading one of the comments on that page, one person is talking about how American lives were wasted in Iraq because we pulled out and its back to the way it was in the first place. Well thats right..but, if we stayed another 50 years, it would have gone back to what it was..with more lives lost. Ours..not theirs..I dont care about theirs. Do people want us to stay..and kill off more young people?

Nothing is gonna change there unless someone wants to turn it into parking lot status..but by then, they will likely all be over here.
