We were challenged concerning the $277,000 taxable compensation we reported John Kane, who is the Democrat’s nominee for the 26th District State Senate race, was receiving as business manager of Plumber’s Local 690 of Philadelphia and Vicinity.

Kane receives $156,537 in salary for his job as business manager and $119,213 as co-chairman of the union’s vacation fund, as per the IRS 990 form that is required to be filed by the vacation fund.

Vacation fund. He is taking $119,213 for running the vacation fund. Don’t you think this be part of his already well-compensated job as the union’s business manager?

And if we are reading the 990 correctly he is only working one hour a week at it.

Yeah,but you ain't taking into consideration that he is a leftie,and is getting paid for caring so much more than anyone else.

We can only imagine the trauma he puts his psyche through every day,worrying about the "little people".

The poor Bay-Bay needs a vacation in the sun with a 6 pack of 18 year old hookers to ease the tension a bit.

I just keep wondering if the poor schmucks in the union -- whose paychecks are being automatically deducted to pay this guy's salary -- ever catch on.

Wish that was true because the automatic paycheck deductions make them a whole lot poorer. I think we are dealing not so much with greed but real serious stupidity. That's the rank and file I mean. Guys like Kane are greedy SOBs who should be rotting in jail.

IMHO,greed and stupidity go hand in hand. Greed almost always leads to wrong doings to other people as well as jealousy,and both almost always lead to revenge. Profit where you can while treating people fairly,and you will have no problems and everyone will think highly of you.

Be greedy and do stupid things,and sooner or later you are going to meet someone in the dark of night wearing a mask and carrying a weapon of some sort who is feeding his own greed and on a quest for his own profits as a form of revenge.
