A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”

The West Point center typically focuses reports on al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists attempting to gain power in Asia, the Middle East and Africa through violence.

But its latest study turns inward and paints a broad brush of people it considers “far right.”

It says anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”------

Details about what makes an attack a “far right” action are not clear in the report, which was written by Arie Perliger, who directs the center’s terrorism studies and teaches social sciences at West Point.

A Republican congressional staffer who served in the military told The Washington Times: “If [the Defense Department] is looking for places to cut spending, this junk study is ground zero.

Tyranny tends to grow exponentially . . . and to trounce all who dare to trend toward other goals.

The global government goal was predicted accurately 2,000 years ago for the era in which Israel became a Nation again in a day--which it did in 1948.

From what I have been reading and seeing, the Stalin loving types think any resistance to their power grabbing will be like Waco. However what appears to be shaping up, if it happens, is going to look more like Afghanistan when the Russians first tried to pacify it, like Finland when Stalin tried the same thing etc. In other words, an offensive asymmetrical guerrilla war with the Stalin loving ones being hunted/harassed, bled of resources over a long time, not suicidal defensive like at Waco.

I wouldn't have imagined it 20 or so years ago (primarily because I was pretty much clueless as to what was and had been going on), but in the past several years I knew that this was coming.

When we went to our first Tea Party gathering in April, 2009, we knew that we were on Obama's homeland security watch list. One of the specifics cited in the gov't declaration was to watch for people with pro-life bumper stickers on their cars.

Ever since Obama took office, he has targetted American citizens who actually believe in the Constitution.

We've had targets painted on us from day one of this administration. It's only a matter of time until the words become actions.

Similar views are held in Europe. Britain has the EDL for English Defence League.

Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian mass murderer, is reflective of such political interests, by some.

I'm not so naive or intellectually dishonest, as to claim such interests do not exist in the US.

A lot of free speech takes place on political forum sites, with many voicing the same opinions held by Anders Behring Breivik.

Often the one who actually acts on the views is not a joiner, and acts alone. Little warning, etc.

The groups are more prone to talk.

I'd drive through any available mud puddle to make them work harder.

I guess if we are judged by our who our enemies are, we're in pretty good shape.
