President Obama said his economic policies are “so mainstream” he’d be considered a moderate Republican in the 1980s.

In a Thursday interview with a Miami-based local television station, Obama said he thinks few people believe he wants to impose socialism on the country.

“The truth of the matter is that my policies are so mainstream that if I had set the same policies that I had back in the 1980s, I would be considered a moderate Republican,” he told Noticias Univision 23 in a White House interview.

“I mean, what I believe in is a tax system that is fair,” he continued. “I don’t think government can solve every problem. I think that we should make sure that we’re helping young people go to school. We should make sure that our government is building good roads and bridges and hospitals and airports so that we have a good infrastructure.

“I do believe that it makes sense that everyone in America, as rich as this country is, shouldn’t go bankrupt because someone gets sick, so the things I believe in are essentially the same things your viewers believe in,” Obama said.

I would bet that if someone had the time, resources, and patience to examine every word uttered from his filthy disgusting mouth since he first took office, I would not be the least bit surprised to find out fully 99.99% of everything that he's said is a damn lie.

Some conservatives like to say that Obama isn't that smart. I think it's very dangerous to make that assumption. He's dishonest, he's manipulative, and his policies are disastrous failures... but he or the people advising him are extremely clever.

My warning is this: prepare yourselves for a complete onslaught, probably worse than we've ever seen and even worse than Obama's first term. The media will be unsufferable the next 4 years.

My advice: just tune it all out. Use the internet instead.

If they are going to have any chance of turning this country around they have to be more direct. They should take the Ann Coulter approach and call obama and the other socialists liar and mock them at every turn. It's time to put an end to the silly "my friend on the their side of the aisle" attitude. I suspect the failure to do this is what led Sen DeMint to resign.

I think that it is true for some of them, for others, I'm not so sure that they aren't very comfortable playing the game just the way it is.

Speaking of that "my friend on the their side of the aisle" attitude, just how nauseating do you think it will be if/when they all gather on Christmas Eve (or thereabouts) and slap each other on the back as to how freakin' fantastic they all have been to "work with!" Ugh.

I remember the days I eagerly watched CSPAN because Newt Gingich was not willing to go along with the Bob Michael Pubs. Newt built a majority by being a fighter. We need warriors, not nice guys.

Your Christmas example is perfect! Instead of saying how great the socialists are to work with they should point out that if it were left to the socialists honoring Jesus's birth would not be allowed and how most of the socialists are faux Christians at best.
