…..It's Rx drugs..... not guns.....

A few days ago I was wondering what has happened, what has changed. Years ago they started putting little boys on Ritalin to keep them zombies in school. I think this was around the time they started forbidding classroom discipline. Maybe it is time to start going back to what worked for centuries and stop drugging our children. When I was in school we never heard of shootings like what we have seen recently. In the 50’s & 60's there was a high percentage of homes with guns. This is quite a list and I think it points to the cause of these events.

I think, every school shooting the kids were on medication. Except the hook thing, I am sure he was on drugs, but that kid should have been in a rubber room since he was 12. His mother was also a nut.

I believe its a mental health issue, not a gun issue.

Once a child turns 18, if they had been on any drugs for mental illness, they can go off them, and there is not a thing anyone can do about it. A parent cant commit a child to any mental institutions. And they closed down most state run mental institutions. If a parent calls the police, they cant do anything. The doctor cant do anything. The only time something gets done, is if they commit a crime and then they are sent to prison.

Those of us who are old enough to remember...do you ever recall seeing so many homeless people? People with bags, shopping carts and living in cardboard shelters? Thats because it WAS against the law, back then. You were arrested for vagrancy. These are mentally ill people. Instead of asylums, they are now set out on the streets.

From what I read, the Sandy Hook shooter, was mentally ill, his mother knew it, he was getting worse..and she had nowhere to turn. I believe it is the same in many of these mass murder cases. These people are sick and nobody can do a thing about it.

The sandy hook woman had a place to go, her income was 10,000 a month, we have private nut houses, but yes, the aclu has made it really hard to get somone committed, and yes, the democraps oppose doing something about it, because then the gun issue goes away.

I didnt mean she had no place to go. I meant, basically her hands were tied. She couldnt have him committed even if she wanted to..and if he was supposed to be on meds and decided not to take them...there was nothing she could do.

Believe me..I am sure there are a lot more like her out there..with no place to turn, knowing their kid isnt wrapped too tight..and needs help.

Its these mental cases that should be the concern..NOT guns. You can inflict the same damage with a knife or some fertilizer, and numerous other things. Planes killed thousands, a few years back..do we ban those..or cars..or booze? Where does it end?

I feel sorry for her too...and more sorry that she allowed those guns to remain in a home with a mentally ill boy. I have guns and I have a son...and believe me, those guns would have been history, if I were in her situation. She knew the kid was sick. Even if she didnt think the kid was capable of doing something like this...I would worry about HIS safety.

I am sure if this was his plan..eventually he would have gotten a gun someplace. But, she didnt have to make it all the more easy for him. Imagine. She lost her own life over her hobby (or whatever you want to call it).
