According to Salon, the San Francisco based webzine, Jindal gave a "tedious speech" before the Republican National Committee Thursday night and is a man who, as an Indian-American, "thinks he can help his party avoid demographic extinction as the official white party in a country that will soon be mostly non-white." Moreover, his "post racial" offering boils down to nothing more than "screw the poor, whatever their color." Salon finally dismisses Jindal's speech as a lame attempt to say "nice things about voters who aren't white" but will do nothing different from the old white men who run their party.

No analysis of Jindal's resizing government remarks which are pretty powerful.

This means re-thinking nearly every social program in Washington. Very few of them work in my view, and frankly, the one-size fits all crowd has had its chance.

If any rational human being were to create our government anew, today, from a blank piece of paper - we would have about one fourth of the buildings we have in Washington and about half of the government workers.

If we created American government today, we would not dream of taking money out of people's pockets, sending it all the way to Washington, handing it over to politicians and bureaucrats to staple thousands of pages of artificial and political instructions to it, then wear that money out by grinding it through the engine of bureaucratic friction...and then sending what's left of it back to the states, where it all started, in order to grow the American economy.

And salon's analysis? Just motivist pap about racial demographics. What better endorsement that Jindal is hitting a nerve?

Here is a fair analysis of the speech by The Hayride. Perhaps the nugget in here is the governors and states are stepping up and reclaiming their authority from the feds.

If you missed Bobby Jindal’s keynote speech at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting in Charlotte last night, we had a text of it and C-SPAN has the archived video.
It was a relatively important speech, though that doesn’t necessarily make Jindal a first-tier 2016 presidential candidate. More on that later.

What Jindal offers is a move toward a more constitutional conservatism, one with far less reliance on Washington as a center of policy. Jindal, in fact, disparaged Washington in no uncertain terms in the speech…

It sounds like he is running in 2016....

I imagine he is. He's term limited for Governor. He may not be the most dynamic speaker but he is a very good governor. His gift is to streamline bloated bureaucracies and make them work more efficiently while saving money.

I think that a combination of a Bobby Jindal and a Marco Rubio or a Marco Rubio and Rand Paul or Bobby Jindal would be a ticket to reckon with. We need a youth ticket in 2016.

You cannot win an election, by first telling 10 to 20% of the voters to stay home, neither rubio or jindal are natural born, their parents were citizens of india and cuba at birth . And no more bushies, not now not ever. So that leaves 300 million other choices.
