President Barack Obama has chosen Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts to be the next secretary of state, a source has told Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed.

Senator Menedez (D) NJ, replaces Kerry on Foreign Relations Committee.

He'll be a good representative for this administration.

Well then, now that he's already been "chosen," no need for any of that quaint rubber-stamping charade in the Senate anyway.

(And as far as Menendez, he's got a head start on Foreign Relations just based on his exploits with shafting hookers in the Caribbean!)

So we have a king of the '57 states' and a Secretary of State who couldn't find his head in his own rear if his life depended on it.
