Rand Paul’s amendment “To prohibit the sale, lease, transfer, retransfer, or delivery of F-16 aircraft, M1 tanks, or certain other defense articles or services to the Government of Egypt” failed in the Senate today by a vote of 79-19.
Just to clarify, the vote was to ‘table’ the amendment which is why there are more YEAs than NAYs.
Here are the 19 Republican Senators that voted with Senator Paul:
Boozman (R-AR) Coats (R-IN) Cornyn (R-TX) Crapo (R-ID) Cruz (R-TX) Fischer (R-NE) Grassley (R-IA) Heller (R-NV) Lee (R-UT) Moran (R-KS) Paul (R-KY) Risch (R-ID) Roberts (R-KS) Rubio (R-FL) Scott (R-SC) Sessions (R-AL) Shelby (R-AL) Thune (R-SD) Vitter (R-LA)
You can see those that voted the other way at the link above.

table, motion to - A senator may move to table any pending question. The motion is not debatable, and agreement to the motion is equivalent to defeating the question tabled. The motion is used to dispose quickly of questions the Senate does not wish to consider further.
This thing Paul was trying to do isn't really the way to stop this from happening. It looks more like a move to bring attention to the issue.
Ted Cruz was just on with Mark, he says that there may be another amendment coming up that may garner more Republican support. (I really like Senator Cruz, glad that Texas saw fit to elect him!)

I think that is his intent. If the American people do not care about the F-16's, why would anyone be surprised about the vote in the Senate?
Orthodoxy SUCKS.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
