A Christian church and school in Florida are devastated after they said Wounded Warrior Project refused to accept their fund raising effort because it was “religious in nature.”
“We were heartbroken,” said Wallace Cooley, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church and Academy in Fort Pierce, Fla. Cooley said they had already paid a $100 registration fee to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project and were about to launch the campaign when they received an email from the organization.
The church had planned on taking up a special offering on the last Sunday in February and students were collecting money from family and friends.

If this is true, it changes my opinion of the Wounded Warriors organization.
What in the world are they doing by refusing donations "religious in nature?" Perhaps they'll refund our donations because we are "religious in nature"...........
More and more I believe people will turn to only supporting their religious organizations with charitable dollars.
Orthodoxy SUCKS.

Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse, World Vision, Catholic Charities.....
But I thought Wounded Warriors was a worthy cause, and not so stupidly run. How dumb is it to refuse a donation from a church because it's a CHURCH?
It was one thing to have the Democrat Party refuse food from a church at their convention, but to punish our wounded troops because of their bias??
Incredibly stupid.
I believe it is wise to put a lot of thought into where we want our money to go when it comes to giving out of faith. Many people do not know enough about the organizations that they support. They do not know how the organizations are run or what groups the organizations are tied to. They do not even begin to consider the impact that their dollars have when used as a wedge, politically.
Knowledge is power.
I also believe that prayerful consideration is needed when giving out money, because as we all know those dollars become more precious as they lose their economic value.
Orthodoxy SUCKS.
