Back in 2007, more than 146 million Americans were employed. Today, only 141.6 million Americans are employed even though our population has grown steadily since then. When the government and the media tell you that we are in a "recovery" and that unemployment is lower than it was a couple of years ago, I encourage you to dig deeper. The truth is that even the government's own numbers tell us that the percentage of the U.S. labor force that is employed continues to fall and that the U.S. economy is heading into a recession. Not counting the millions of illegals sneaking across the border, and the buyers of stock is. Big banks, they borrow money at zero interest, and hope to con the agerage small investor into the pond, then they sell and small joe blow contributes his savings. Now is not the time to buy, now is the time to sell.

Hint: when Mutual funds, the private 800 pound gorilla pulled back on the stock market awhile back, somebody else at least as big with that much cash stepped in to take their place and keep the market afloat. What other entities in that size of clout have almost unlimited funds to prop up the stock market?

Yes, but high unemployment is necessary to bringing about the progressive paradise that we are on the verge of enjoying.

From the article, numbers to demonstrate a terrible trend that has been going on for over a decade, i.e. replacing high paying lost jobs with low paying ones that are often part time, temporary, and without benefits.

The stock market has morphed from a place to raise capital to fund wealth producing enterprises that will employ Americans to a high stakes casino. It no longer has any relationship to the stat of employment in the US.
