Excellent analysis of where we are and where we are going. I suspect we will retain all the trappings of our lost constitutional republic, our flag, national anthem, pretend borders, pretend elections . . . and that is all.
Thanks algernonpj, but I suspect that our national anthem will need to be discarded at some point; it is just too "nationalistic!"

This poor Country is so far gone on legal immigration, we may never get it back and that's why I said we're going to have to give. I hate to say it, I was one of the biggest advocates for border security but it's never going to happen and we have to start winning elections while we wait for the country to get back on the right path.
Well, my pessimistic self says don't worry, we're certainly going to "give." But I don't expect that "give" to result in any elections being won.
Their are multiple problems with giving on open borders and flooding the country with illegals and legals from countries with no cultural history of small government, self reliance, rule of law.
Here are a few: Their presence is subsidized by working tax payers to the amount of hundred of billions per year NET. Their presence makes a mockery of the rule of law. Their presence provides sanctuary cities that also serve as safe haven for terrorists. Their reproduction is subsidized and our traditional American culture and ethics will be subsumed by demographics.
