Organizers of a Newtown children's choir that has received widespread attention are defending themselves against concerns raised by the superintendent of schools over whether they have misrepresented the group.
Superintendent Janet Robinson took to a national stage, CNN, Thursday to voice concerns about the Newtown choir, organized by Sabrina Post, who runs a performing arts studio in town.
I didn't watch the children perform at the Super Bowl. In my opinion, they shouldn't have performed.
These are children who are being used by adults. They should be left alone.
Orthodoxy SUCKS.

If this second group is a fraud, that's a different story.
I'm also not sure that I'd want my kids singing for a criminal.
Yeah. They were being used.
They weren't invited to sing at the Superbowl until their school became a household name associated with the death of others.
If I was a parent and my child had been asked to sing with them, simply because of the school they attend, I would not have allowed my child to go.
They threw this children's choir together. It wasn't like they were a formed group before they went to New Orleans.
The whole thing is unseemly.
"I got to sing at the big football game, because a kid at my school died."
Disgusting.

I agree with you, ML. These children lived though tragedy and if this is part of a healing process I say good for them..."We have come to New Orleans to represent the Sandy Hook Family and the community of Newtown, Conn. Our wish is to demonstrate to America and the world that, 'We are Sandy Hook and we choose love,'" the school said in a prepared and unsigned statement issued through the NFL.
The second group should be ashamed as well GMA etc... Those children are being used
I did watch those kids sing at the SB. I thought they were good. Their rendition of America the Beautiful was sweet & pure. However when Jenifer Hudson followed . . . it sounded like the wailing of a Brama Bull being castrated. And the skank who sang the Star Spangled Banner was just as foul.
Those kids might have been used, but in my opinion (worth exactly $19.95) those kids were the best performers hands down at the Superbowl. Way better than Beyonce, Hudson, or Alicia Keys.
