Our currency has been under relentless attack since at least the 30s and will over the next few years continue on its path of destruction until it essentially worthless (add to that the attacks on our productivity by environmentalism and other misguided policies).
When the crunch comes to whom do you think the American people will turn for relief and succor? They have been so conditioned by now to rely on the government and particularly the President, the answer is obvious. Like the Egyptians of Joseph's day they will surrender themselves, their children, and all that they have for food and a feeling of security.
That's assuming we don't have another civil war first brought on by economic collapse. Honestly, I am uncertain which scenario will play out. Perhaps both.
