As a central Texan, and one who can (faintly) remember LBJ as pres., and is aware of his reputation among the people who knew him here, I am shocked that Jeb would even invoke his name. The man was very, very effective, but he was also crooked, corrupt, acted without scruples or morals, and would throw anyone who got in his way under the bus. Jeb is either seriously ignorant or does actually know what he's talking about and admires a pathologically flawed man.

Regardless of what kind of president Jeb Bush would make, he would have a hard time getting elected. Over half the country hated George W. Bush and there's more of "them" than "us."
The comparisons to the former president Bush would get twenty-four hour news coverage.

I think it would best to focus on firing Harry Reid first.
