Conservative ex-con Paul McKinley hung on to win the GOP primary in Illinois to replace crook Jesse Jackson Jr. in Congress.

While Chicago media focused on Robin Kelly’s landslide victory in Tuesday’s Democrat primary, after they blatantly ignored the GOP primary throughout the campaign, the Republican race to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr. in Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District was the thriller on Tuesday.

It appears the underdog Paul McKinley has sealed a victory as the GOP nominee in the April 9 general election.

Paul McKinley calls himself an “ex-offender” who wants to get other ex-offenders to work. That’s why he ran as a Republican candidate in the special primary to replace Jesse Jackson Jr. McKinley served prison time for robbery, he says. Now he’s on a mission to offer “street repentance.”

I suppose the good thing is, as an ex-con, he actually has a chance in Chicago's election process.

If he wins he will fit right in with the rest of the crooks on Capitol Hill.
