Obama DHS Purchases 2,700 Light-Armored Tanks to Go With Their 1.6 Billion Bullet Stockpile

This is getting a little creepy.
According to one estimate, since last year the Department of Homeland Security has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm.

DHS also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).

Sarah Palin isn't saying anything here the rest of us aren't already thinking, but I was surprised by her candor on the matter:

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

The bullet thing has been debunked many times but won't die. Believe it or not that is about normal consumption for the number of agents in DHS. There is 5.56mm rounds in the purchase not just 40 and 9. Hard for many to wrap their head around but in this country there are 1 BILLION rounds a day of small arms ammo made. That includes 1 MILLION of all types of 22.

There are two guys in a samll industrial building here in town that make 10,000 rounds a day when they can get supplies!

Many garage reloaders can easily make 8,000 rounds a day with one person.

Those numbers may be normal consumption for the number of agents in the DHS.

However combine the number of agents in the DHS, the increased militarization of the police force, the egregious 'above the law' behavior by the TSA, the blatant lies about the economy that are increasingly difficult to hide, the escalating intrusion of the government into every aspect of our lives, the blatant inequity in the application of the law, wide open borders flooding the country with who knows who, the over reach by the DHS definition of potential domestic terrorists, and purchase of light armored tanks for domestic use, and you can understand why the number of bullets spur people to wonder what the PTB are planning or foresee happening the this country.

After all if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and talks like a duck, odds are . . .

Unless you believe what they say on the Latino version of Russia Today, I see very little evidence to support the notion that Obama is purchasing 2700 MRAPS for use at DHS.
