On Wednesday, every GOP senator voted to defund Obamacare on an amendment to the Continuing Resolution that funds government for the rest of the fiscal year.
The amendment from Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz failed to pass, as all 52 Democrats voted against it. The fact that all 45 GOP members in the upper chamber voted for it, however, is a stark contrast to the way House Republican leadership has led Congress’ lower chamber on the same issue.
House Speaker John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor rushed the CR to the floor for a vote last week when they received a letter from conservative House members calling for a CR that defunds Obamacare. Reps. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma and Tim Huelskamp of Kansas led an effort to get 30 total House Republicans to sign onto a letter calling for the CR to defund Obamacare. When Boehner and Cantor got the letter on Tuesday night last week and saw 30 of their colleagues had signed it, a senior GOP source told Breitbart News they “scheduled the vote for Wednesday morning “ because the letter caused them to believe it was “better to go now than wait.”
Boehner and Cantor and other members of House GOP leadership blocked any effort at all to even have a floor vote on an amendment to defund Obamacare in the CR.
With today's vote, the center of the loyal opposition to Obama continues to shift to the Senate.
ZitatThe fact that all 45 GOP members in the upper chamber voted for it, however, is a stark contrast to the way House Republican leadership has led Congress’ lower chamber on the same issue.
Anyone want to still argue that Boner and the other House leaders are incompetent and worthless? The power vacuum in the Senate has now been filled with the additions of paul, Rubio, Lee, Cruz and the other Tea Party style Conservatives. Some House members need to do the same thing and push losers like Cantor, Boner and that other stooge lackey of Boners out of the way.

God bless the Republicans!
Does that include the ones who are taking the Obamacare Medicaid expansion? How about the ones who agree taxes should be raised?

My comment, "God bless the Republicans", was related to the following excerpt from the article shown above: "On Wednesday, every GOP senator voted to defund Obamacare on an amendment to the Continuing Resolution that funds government for the rest of the fiscal year."
So, that includes every GOP senator which, by definition, includes John Mccain and Lindsay Graham .

Again, I'll say, God bless the Republicans!
Your blind loyalty to the GOP would make an Obama voter blush.

I you think this token vote where they knew the Democrats were going to vote party line shows the RINOS did something honorable, well got same swamp land for ya. The fact is they knew it was a safe vote they could use to pretend to be conservative since they Dems were going to strike it down. No risk for them and and it looked good.
What is important here is not the phoney showmanship of the Rinos but the fact the conservatives like Cruz, Rand etc are taking more power for themselves and forcing such things on the ruling RINO class.
How is Liberals calling for infringing the 2nd any different from their calling for infringing the 13th?

You just got elected Pope and at least one time today all the Republicans in the Senate did the right thing!
You aren't contractually prohibited from publicly acknowledging Republicans for doing what's right.........are you?
First off, the new Pope is into Liberation Theology. The same Communistic ideas Zero believes in. That is going to be a disaster. The head of the church is going to parrot Zero at every turn. Secondly, I am not going to get excited by the GOP Senators doing what they said they would do, i.e.; ending Obamacare. It is a hollow gesture anyway. Right now the bill succeeding or failing is in the hands of GOP Gov's and so far, they are rolling over for bribes as fast as they can. See Bob McDonnell, Christie Creme and Rick Scott.
