Why isn’t anyone talking about this? CNN posted a timeline of events at Sandy Hook, and according to the report it took police 20 minutes to respond. That’s an eternity.
At the police station, dispatchers began to take calls from inside the school. Authorities say the first emergency call about the shooting came in at “approximately” 9:30 a.m.
“Sandy Hook school. Caller is indicating she thinks someone is shooting in the building,” a dispatcher told fire and medical personnel, according to 911 tapes.
Police and other first responders arrived on scene about 20 minutes after the first calls.

Thanks for posting this interesting piece of information. With all the emphasis on how small the town is, the impression given is that the police were on the scene very rapidly.
Perhaps we should modify the saying 'When seconds count the police are minutes away ' to 'When seconds count the police are nearly half an hour away'.
I read where schools across the country are telling parents that for the next week police will be parked near the schools.
What about on April 3rd, 2013? March 7, 2014?
Orthodoxy SUCKS.
"I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them."- Galileo Galilei
Upper East Side Manhattan Libs think there is no need for guns because either their security detail is armed or that there is a donut eating cop at every street corner. The fact is that the majority of the country lives where police response times are absurd. In a lot of those cases, the constabulary is fully incompetent to handle anything more than a DUI checkpoint or speed trap. The only line of defense a rural home owner has is a gun in most cases.
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck says officers will stop by each of the city's elementary and middle schools at least once a day in the wake of the deadly school shooting in Connecticut.
Beck said Monday that officers will make themselves visible at 600 public schools when students return from the holiday break in January.
He's extending the offer to private and charter schools as well.
Yep, that's the ticket, chief. Any psycho in the LA area willing to emulate the events in CT will be sure to stand down now.
