North Korea announced Saturday that it had entered a "state of war" with South Korea and would deal with every inter-Korean issue accordingly.
"As of now, inter-Korea relations enter a state of war and all matters between the two Koreas will be handled according to wartime protocol," the North said in a joint statement attributed to all government bodies and institutions.
"That question is incompetent, irrelevant and immaterial." -- P. Mason
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
This could get bad fast as N Korea has 9.5 million troops... (For those of you that think thats small we only have 3 million troops). With the right tech such as EMPs the north could stop us from helping south korea fast enough and even have the ability to land on our shores. With China their best ally controlling our economy through our debt we could be in alot of trouble very fast... The number 1 mistake of any war is underestimating your enemy as we seem to be doing...
Great! Now is not the time to have a community organizer/agitator as a leader!
North Korea rocket units on standby to attack US bases
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed off on the order at a midnight meeting of top generals and "judged the time has come to settle accounts with the US imperialists in view of the prevailing situation", the official KCNA news agency said.
On Thursday, the United States flew two radar-evading B-2 Spirit bombers on practice runs over South Korea, responding to a series of North Korean threats. They flew from the United States and back in what appeared to be the first exercise of its kind, designed to show America's ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes "quickly and at will", the US military said.
The news of Kim's response was unusually swift.
"He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be standby for fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea," KCNA said.

I'll give that comment a 50/50 top to flop. North Korea is a thorn in the side of China. Sort of like the snot-nosed kid brother. China does not want nukes popping over North Korea any more than it wants to screw with their biggest economic customer (us). Needless to say, China also doesn't want us on their southern border again either. That 9.5 million North Korean troops may sound impressive, but remember, it takes a 4-1 advantage for the attacking force in an assault.
The ROK's have 500K men in the field trained on the American model with another 2-3 million in reserves on recall to service. They are tough, and not the army of 1950. They are fully modernized with superior equipment. Luke might have the numbers, but he is far from flexible.
On the China issue, they want a change there in the North, but more of a partner than a pest. This would be a good time to resolve that issue.
