The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has responded to a letter dated November 13, 2012 from Senator Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) regarding the agency's ammunition purchases.

Sen. Coburn published the response on the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs website yesterday, April 1, 2013.

The response, dated February 4, 2013, says that DHS buys ammunition in bulk to "significantly lower costs."

Won't do any good the blue jays have got it and are sitting on every fence screaming that the DHS is planning for war and buying 1 million MRAPS to do it with. Sometimes I do wish the net have never happened ;damn Algore.

Some people are musing aloud when they make these claims. Others are stating what they want to see happen because they have a vision of the future that they want to see fulfilled.

Another Civil War scares the hell out of me when I think of the number of lives that could be lost.

I don't know that a lot of people think everything through carefully and measure out the loss of life as thoughtfully as they should.

BTW they (in my experience) are also the ones that do not get involved in the political process except to show up and vote. I am aware that some in the patriot movement, very powerful people with funding and money have made it clear to the DC criminals that the gloves come off if there is another Waco. A typical response from those in power is to exert more force.

I actually expected hostilities to break out years ago. As long as there is American Idol and Sports Center the masses seem to enjoy alcoholic bliss and just want the checks to keep flowing.

Me, if the shooting starts I will go on the offensive. Won't last long at my age but I will take a few with me. "A young man will fight you, an old man will just kill you." Didn't really understand that until a few years ago.

It is coming. Can't say when but I am usually right about these things just not too good on the timeline.

I have never heard that quote before.

I see a yin/yang in that saying.

An old man who will stand his ground in righteousness to defend his life should kill someone when necessary.

On the other hand...

There are a lot of tired, old, selfish, greedy, yellow-bellied bastards out there. These old guys feel entitled. They feel they have paid their dues and the young men should give way to their wishes, even when the old men are in the wrong and should be feared for their ignorance. They have a chip on their shoulder and it's called "seniority".

Everyone should be very watchful in these times. There are more cowards around us than we realize.

The main reason I am not part of a group is because I will send young men out as cannon fodder. Been there done that. If there is fighting to be done I will do it. They are welcome to join in if they want but it will not be at my behest.
