Some current and former Denver police officers have taken to Facebook to criticize President Barack Obama’s planned use of Denver police officers as a backdrop for a Wednesday speech on gun control.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson
At work so don't want to go to link but wondering - do they have a right to not be a part of the "backdrop"? My brother is a cop and he is all for people being armed. Very much the gun advocate - I know he would not willingly be a part of this (he's not in CO so not an issue) but I wonder if they are forcing the cops to do this during their working hours and wonder what he would do in that situation.
