People Not In Labor Force Soar By 663,000 To 90 Million, Labor Force Participation Rate At 1979 Levels
Things just keep getting worse for the American worker, and by implication US economy, where as we have shown many times before, it pays just as well to sit back and collect disability and various welfare and entitlement checks, than to work .The best manifestation of this: the number of people not in the labor force which in March soared by a massive 663,000 to a record 90 million Americans who are no longer even looking for work. This was the biggest monthly increase in people dropping out of the labor force since January 2012, when the BLS did its census recast of the labor numbers. And even worse, the labor force participation rate plunged from an already abysmal 63.5% to 63.3% - the lowest since 1979!
Ya, but I suspect that any polls done at the end of the day would yield overwhelming glee by 90+% of the population that the Unemployment Rate went down today!!!
I refuse to sit around and not work. I was laid off last week, and did I take a break.. No... I hit the pavement right away. I just can't sit around and do nothing and collect welfare checks.

Good for you. Keep moving with your chin up! I hope you find employment soon.
Orthodoxy SUCKS.
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." Thomas Jefferson

All the best for your in your search, may you be rewarded richly for your efforts!
Sorry to hear that, Kevin, but with your attitude and work ethic, you should be OK. I started to say "you should be fine", but I don't think any of us will be fine for a while. OK, but not fine.

A few republicans want to help the rats fix this, just add thirty million illegals to the public feeding stations. Happy days are here again! What could possibility go wrong.
I am not a republican I am a conservative, and supporter of the rule of law. And refuse to support any of Roves dopes.
